ABOUT

australian ceramics handmade aleisa byfieldAleisa is a Ceramic Artist living in Port Macquarie, on the Mid North Coast NSW.  Her artistic process began as a child growing up in country New South Wales and in recent years has immersed herself in furthering her knowledge and relishing in the endless possibilities of ceramics, particularly for self exploration and expression.

Aleisa is predominantly self taught, having participated in workshops and skill sharing with fellow members of Port Macquarie Art and Craft Centre.  She is also a member of the Australian Ceramics Association.

She finds inspiration in the diversity and unpredictability of the textures, patterns and colours of the hinterland and coastal environment, seeing beauty in the flaws, scars and imperfections that are often overlooked.
